Direct access to VSNExplorer MAM

Within VSN NewsConnect, users have access to the most advanced and relevant features of VSNExplorer MAM, such as the ability to search files of any media in VSNExplorer MAM, regardless of where they are stored (deep archive, nearline or online. Likewise, it contains the VSNExplorer platform proxy player for media preview on the NRCS interface itself, adaptable to the available bandwidth.

Web video editor

VSN NewsConnect offers access to Wedit, VSN’s web video editor that allows users to do a fast segment selection, edit sequences by cut, consolidate video and graphic files and even include voiceover in the editing timeline with photogramic accuracy. It also allows to consolidate and publish sequences in any video format automatically in the associated news piece for any destination and screen, depending on distribution needs.

Live graphics

Users can preview graphic templates and synchronize graphic elements on the played video with frame accuracy. Moreover, it also includes the possibility of creating ‘camera’ type events only with graphics associated to a news item. These graphics can be broadcasted live over the presenter’s image manually or automatically from the studio automation system.

Continue the editing in a NLE

There is the option to download the Edit Decision List (EDL) to continue video editing work in an advanced non-linear editor. Later, the already edited video file or the EDL file itself can be uploaded again to the system with a simple drag & drop. Furthermore, it also offers the possibility of associating an NLE project type asset to each media object, so that theu can be opened from the NRCS interface itself whenever users need to make any changes in video editing.
