1. VSNExplorer

1.1 What’s new?

1.1.1 Assets

  • Option to decide if assets should be automatically deleted from the Recycle Bin or not.
  • Recycle Bin configuration interface to configure an agent to remove assets that have been in the recycle bin for more than the time defined.
  • Button to download Thumbnail from the Files tab is available again

1.1.2 Player

  • Addressed player issues, including auto-play option, and optimized frame back, 5-seconds back, and 15-seconds forward/back options not working as expected. 

1.1.3 Dashboards

  • New option to export the Search Table Widgets to an Excel file.
  • New option to export the Search Table Widgets to an Excel file. · To be able to change the order of the columns in the Search Table Widgets.
  •  “Share and Pin” Dashboards. Select users or groups to share your dashboard with.  These users will have a copy of it that they can customize, but it will remain always fixed and visible to them even if users try to delete it.

1.1.4 Workflows

  • Upload to specific Youtube channel using Content Manager account (CMS). The agent “Upload Asset to Youtube” has been adapted to support the option to upload videos to a specific Youtube channel which is managed by a CMS Account. You will find more information in the available Help guide from the agent configuration.
  • Support VTT subtitles for Youtube.
  • Substantial performance improvements in Workflows when changing the priority, when retrying and when cancelling workflows

1.1.5 BPM

  • Ability to set and change the tasks’ Due Date
  • Option to filter tasks by Due Date
  • Ability to change the Priority of the tasks

1.1.6 Others

  • Migration of services to the new .Net Framework. 
  • UI/UX improvements in several pages (storages, events, etcetera)

1.2 Fixed Issues

  • Enumeration orders are not being saved properly.
  • The number of BPM tasks was not shown when the header is minimized.
  • Corrected malfunction of HTML metadata fields within a multi-field context.
  • Back 1 frame option in player is not working right with zoom.
  • Workflows Viewer. Calendar component not working in Google Chrome.
  • Duration BI reports show negative values.
  • Multifields metadatas are not highlighted in search.
  • Execute action on search agent fails when saving it.
  • Missing records when saving a metadata multifield.
  • Adobe Premiere plugin not loading.
  • Can’t open category selector in Export Search to PDF agent.
  • Can’t save time metadata type in widgets.
  • Fix category selection dialog when search in agents.
  • In player, move frames or seconds with buttons are not working as expected for some videos.
  • Sometimes when start to play a video, the player remains in pause.
  • When closing floating player too fast, video keeps playing in background.
  • Wrong behaviour in BI when use PAM Categories dialog.
  • Wrong duration of segments in search results.
  • HTML characters appear in the Segments search results 

2. VSNCrea

2.1 What’s new?

2.1.1 Metadata

  • Allow navigating through selector component options using the keyboard. 
  • Allow creating new elements from selector components.
  • New option to indicate if a metadata field should be shown and/or searchable from the UI.  
  • Metadata Rules: Add ‘Includes’ operand to multi-metadata entity fields. 

2.1.2 Linear Broadcast

  • Link/unlink events to/from External Containers from playlist
  • Indicate Daylight Saving times in grids/playlists.
  • Option to Autofill gaps with dynamic clips duration 
  • Show/Hide where the gaps are located within a playlist.
  • Move related productions together in the playlist
  • To show the name of the grid from the playlist
  • Expand/collapse blocks in playlists
  • Option to define a default Catalog List for each Channel
  • When having the VSNExplorer MAM plugin enabled, the media status and the player are displayed directly from playlist events.

2.1.3 Linear Scheduling

  • To be able to clone Service Orders.
  •  [BETA] Table view in Service Orders with the possibility to delete multiple showings
  •  To be able to filter Service Orders by Type

2.1.4 Adquisitions

  • Costs and amortization for Digital Rights Packages

2.1.5 Nonlinear Scheduling

  • Youtube Assets management. To be able to set the Asset Title, Asset Description, Asset Label and Asset Custom ID, as part of the broader set of data and settings managed for each piece of content on YouTube. With this new feature, VSNCrea provides control over its presentation, visibility, and compliance with YouTube’s policies and guidelines.

2.1.6 Others

  • Technical debt and refactoring.
  • I/UX improvements

3. VSN BP Editor

3.1 What’s new?

  • New option to add “Due Date” to User Tasks, with a specified time delay from the process start date time, or from any previous user task within the process. 

4. Technical Aspects

  • The recommended browsers for both VSNExplorer and VSNCrea are Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. (The certification process for these Release versions has been passed using Firefox v.114.0). 
  • Latest fully compatible and certified OSX version: 10.13 High Sierra. 
  • Run Explorer Client (v.1.45.7.0) software on all workstations to be sure the users have all recommended software versions for VSNExplorer. 
  • The latest VSNDesktopAgent Plus Installer version should be updated in all needed workstations (Windows: v.5.6.556.0 / OSX: v.3.92.3480). 
  • If you have VSNCrea with the integration with VSNExplorer MAM, it is recommended to update both systems to these latest versions. 
  • It is recommended to execute a Full Reindexation in VSNExplorer after the update. 
  • It is recommended to clean the cache of your web browser after the update.
